Friction type torque limiter:

The torque limiter sets a fixed value which is greater than the normal working torque and less than the maximum torque of the motor. Once the overload of the drive end exceeds the torque value set by the torque limiter, the drive end stops, and the motor and the reducer keep idling because they don't move the drive end. Because they are not completely disconnected after the overload, it is necessary to stop the motor and the reducer artificially once the overload occurs, Otherwise, the friction plate will be damaged if it is overloaded and idled for a long time.


Ball type torque limiter:

The torque limiter sets a fixed value which is greater than the normal working torque and less than the maximum torque of the motor. Once the overload of the drive end exceeds the torque value set by the torque limiter, the drive end stops. However, compared with the ball type overload, the ball type overload can be completely disconnected according to the requirements. The most important point is that the torque limiter can give a signal output after overload, through mechanical switch or grounding The near switch detection can stop the motor and reducer, which is suitable for use under fully automatic working conditions.
